About Me

I’ve been fascinated by computers since I was a kid tinkering with old machines in my dad’s garage, trying to understand how they worked. That curiosity led me down a path from building simple web pages to architecting complex AI systems and exploring the security vulnerabilities that keep systems safe (or compromise them).

I grew up in a small town where technology felt like magic—a way to connect with the wider world and build things that could reach beyond my immediate surroundings. After studying computer science and diving deep into machine learning research, I’ve spent my career at the intersection of AI, security, and practical engineering.

What drives me isn’t just the code—it’s the people and problems behind it. I’m passionate about building systems that are both powerful and secure, contributing to open source communities, and sharing knowledge with others who are just starting their journey. When I’m not coding, you’ll find me hiking with my camera, participating in security CTFs, or reading research papers about the latest developments in AI and distributed systems.

I believe in the hacker ethos: curiosity, creativity, and the freedom to explore. Technology should empower people, not surveil them. Security should be a right, not a luxury. And knowledge should be shared, not hoarded.

heart"> Beyond Code

When I’m not behind a keyboard, I’m usually outdoors with my camera, capturing landscapes and wildlife. I’m an avid hiker who believes the best debugging happens on the trail. I compete in CTF competitions (it’s like puzzle-solving meets ethical hacking), read research papers over coffee, and volunteer teaching programming to students from underrepresented backgrounds.

I’m also deeply interested in the philosophy of technology—what it means to build ethical AI systems, how we balance innovation with privacy, and the responsibility we have as engineers to create technology that serves humanity rather than exploits it. I believe in radical transparency, decentralization, and the power of communities over corporations.

My bookshelf is equal parts technical manuals, sci-fi novels, and philosophy. My browser tabs are a chaotic mix of arXiv papers, GitHub repos, Hacker News, and hiking trail recommendations. I’m learning to play the guitar (poorly) and trying to improve my cooking skills (with mixed results).
